Photo Consultant + Commercial Photography Roster
This roster was initiated to address the disproportionate number of cis white male photographers that continue to dominate the commercial photography industry. In around two years, the roster has grown to include six strong female commercial photographers. This brushes the surface of the systemic imbalance in the industry. There is still more work to be done to elevate BIWOC photographers as well as Trans and Non-Binary photographers who are largely missing from the commercial photography landscape.
As a white woman, I realize that I may not appeal to all marginalized groups and that by being a provider of information and coaching about the industry this relationship of “helping” can be problematic. If I am not the right person, I have provided several resources below that may appeal more to specific marginalized groups that are doing it really well.
